The guide is the tool that carries the plan into the mouth. If it does not seat, nothing that came before it counts.
Guide and drilling sequence
What the R2 Guide is
Fully 3D printed, with no metal sleeve. The offsets are defined in the plan, so the same guide works with different surgical kits — from guiding the first drill only, through to a fully guided sequence with R2Aid. Metal sleeves are fitted on request, when your kit’s protocol calls for them.
Types

| Tooth-supported | Partial edentulism with stable neighbouring teeth. The most accurate seating there is. |
| Bone-supported | Full edentulism, or when there are no reliable reference teeth. Requires a flap and fixation pins. |
| Mucosa-supported | Edentulous jaw, flapless, with fixation pins. |
| Stackable | Full-arch: bone reduction, placement and prosthetic transfer from the same base. |
| Bone reduction | When the prosthetic height calls for a controlled ostectomy. |
| Endodontic | Guided access to calcified pulp chambers. |
Material and production
Guides are printed in Keystone KeyPrint KeyGuide resin, washed in isopropyl alcohol and post-cured in the laboratory. Production is by a certified laboratory using materials compliant with the European framework, and every guide is checked for fit on the model before it leaves.
The guide is delivered non-sterile. Sterilisation is done by the clinician, before every use, with the material’s published validated steam cycle. It is not a recommendation — it is a condition of use.
